Uralla Kids Clinic and Campdraft

Uralla Campdraft & Sporting Club Hosted a Neil Faint Kids Campdraft Clinic - 5th May 2023
16 young kids participated and were keen to learn all things around campdrafting. Neil focused this clinic heavily on safety within the sport, encouraging the kids to ask plenty of questions to further their knowledge and skills. It was a great day and well supported by the local community.
The kids that attended this clinic are now also eligible to participate in our TSPH Clinic Participants Campdraft, at AELEC 24-26 November 2023.
The Uralla Campdraft & Sporting Club committee held their first ever campdraft event the next day, where kids had the opportunity to showcase skills learnt from the clinic, the previous day or just attend and compete for the trophies and prizes on offer.
Neil donated his time and judged all events throughout the day. Some great runs were witnessed by junior and juvenile riders.
Jackpot Junior Campdraft Winner (8 - U13) was OLIVIA O’NEILL riding "SASSY'' with 162 points over the three rounds.
Jackpot Juvenile Campdraft Winner (13 - U17) was MILLIE PACKHAM riding "BOB" from NEGS who took top honours and also the David Strelitz Memorial Trophy, after scoring 156 points.
Jackpot Maiden Campdraft Winner was TARA BONDARENKO riding "PIXIE" with 178 points over the three rounds.
Thank you to the cattle donors, transport companies and volunteers that helped make Uralla's first clinic and campdraft event such a success.
Texas Star Performance Horses were proud sponsors, donating trophy rugs, bridles and caps. Gift vouchers from our Corporate Partners - Equissage NSW Roni, Pryde's EasiFeed and Poseidon Equine were also presented to the winners and placegetters throughout all events.
Neil and I love to give back to the campdraft community that supports us, especially when it's about supporting tomorrow's up and coming campdrafters.
