Duckrey boasts the three P’s: Pedigree, Progeny & Performance. Great type & conformation, cattle sense, is fast and very easy to handle. He is an ideal outcross for stock horse or quarter horse mares. Duckrey is sired by top USA sire Dual Rey, out of one of Australia's best producing mares Dashing Duckling. He was the first Dual Rey progeny to ever campdraft in the world!

  • Purchased in 2011 at the Landmark Classic Campdraft Sale to deepen the genetic pool at Texas Star Performance Horses. Straight after his purchase he began his competition career and with Neil in the saddle it didn’t take very long for him to notch up a few big wins and he quickly became an open campdraft, cut out and snaffle bit cutting winner.

    DUCKREY now has more than 100 registered progeny performing throughout Australia. His oldest progeny are 7yr olds and the future is looking very bright for his young stock. He is the ideal outcross for many stock horse or quarter horse mares. His breeding is backed by many generations of proven mare power that have been carefully selected and as his name suggests DUCKREY was bred by the late John Brekelmans. Dashing Duckling his dam carries an incredible proven producing mare line and combine that with Dual Rey & DUCKREY is simply bred to breed champions!

She has produced 2 other progeny, DUCKS DUX, Winner of the 2011 NCHA Open Futurity, and is Australia’s All Time Leading NCHA Money Earner, with winnings in excess of $203,023. and LUCKY DUCK who currently have earnings of $128,676 and are still showing.
