NEIL FAINT
CAMPDRAFT CLINICS
Why Attend a Neil Faint Campdraft Clinic
Whether you're a seasoned campdrafter or have never chased a beast before, our Neil Faint Campdraft Clinics provide the ideal environment to refine your skills. Neil’s approach emphasises safe riding and setting both horse and rider up for success in campdrafting.
Day One – Laying the Foundations
The first day is dedicated to preparing for success behind a beast. Riders begin with dry runs of the campdraft pattern, ensuring both horse and rider understand the course, warm up correctly, and have the opportunity for Neil to assess and fine-tune each combination.
Next, participants pair up—one acting as the beast and the other as the horse—practicing correct positioning to control and move the beast effectively. Focus then shifts to the cutout, where multiple runs on the flag help riders develop better coverage and sharper turns in the camp.
Day Two – Putting It into Practice
With the foundations set, participants put their newly honed skills to the test. After a warm-up and a few dry course runs, it's time for real campdraft practice using cattle or water buffalo. Each rider gets multiple live runs, receiving real-time feedback to refine their performance.
The clinic wraps up with an exciting competition, where riders put everything they've learned to work—with prizes on offer, thanks to our valued clinic partners!
These clinics are an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills, build confidence, and receive expert guidance from Neil Faint in a supportive and engaging environment.
