MANAGING OWNER: Neil Faint

Neil Faint has a vast experience in rodeo, mustering on the family property and the sport of Campdrafting. His passion for horsemanship developed from his teenage years and has led him into a business of breeding quality horses and sharing his technical expertise with the community. Neil has capabilities in fine equine breeding and the selection of winning Heritage Australian Stock Horses to extend the breeding stock on offer at Texas Star Performance Horses.

As a Horse Clinician, he teaches correct techniques in safe riding and horse handling skills. He has an aptitude for horsemanship and teaches others of this art of riding, handling, and training horses effectively. He also participates in the event and teaches the community that it is not all about winning. Neil is very patient in his horse handling and training techniques. He hosts regular Campdrafting and Horsemanship clinics throughout NSW and interstate.

Neil is an extremely accomplished breeder, handler, trainer and Campdraft rider with countless wins and placings in Restricted Open, Open, Novice and Maiden Campdrafts. Neil placed 2nd overall in the 2015 World Championship Campdraft in Sydney, which is an invitation only event and limited to the current top 15 Campdraft riders. He is well respected in the equine industry for his longevity working with horses and his ability to breed and train successful Campdraft horses right across Australia. With his successful lifelong experience in Campdrafting, he is recruited regularly as an Open Campdraft Judge for the Australian Campdraft Association (ACA) and for the Australian Bushman’s Campdraft and Rodeo Association (ABCRA).
